Balsman Photography is Longmont Colorado's premier photography studio for fine portraiture. We specialize in creative and imaginative modern classic portraits for children, babies, families, high school seniors, pets, models and mothers-to-be.

About Our Studio
Located in the historic central business district of Longmont, our studio is a lovely turn-of-the-century Victorian featuring all of the character and charm of a bygone era. Our warm and inviting waiting room offers clients a comfortable place to relax by the fireplace and enjoy watching films and slideshows on our big screen TV. Be sure to notice our beautiful and unique gold-raked ceiling. Always stocked with ample refreshments, our kitchen beckons clients to enjoy complimentary drinks and wholesome snacks while they wait.

Moms can rest easy knowing that our studio offers all the comforts of home and has been carefully childproofed for added peace of mind. We offer age appropriate toys and films, toddler safe bathroom amenities, and a clean changing table for young children.

With two indoor camera rooms, our enchanting on-site outdoor garden studio (one of only a few available in all of Colorado), a wide selection of backdrops, props and specialized wardrobes and award-winning set designs, we offer our clients more options for their portraits than any other area studio. Simply put, we have something special for everyone!

What's more, when our clients' images are ready to view, we treat them to their very own Photo Premier. We welcome them on our genuine Hollywood red carpet and announce their party on our personalized marquee. While reclining in comfort in their private theater room, our clients enjoy all the popcorn and soft drinks they want. Then, we showcase their beautifully crafted images on our giant projection screen, just as they are meant to be viewed. We assist our clients with their image selections and even provide custom framing via our Live Framing service. We are the only studio in Colorado offering this innovative service. No corner samples and no wondering about the final, finished project. We show the framed portrait precisely as it will look hanging on your wall.

About Our Photographer
Our chief photographer, Kim Balsman, is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and a published author. With more than 20 years experience, Kim brings together all the elements of fine portrait photography and masterfully crafts meaningful and captivating images for her clients. Each finished portrait reflects the unique personality and intrinsic beauty and charm of her clients. Because she takes the time to get to know her clients, Kim is able to connect with her clients, particularly children, on a more personal level. Always willing to act silly for the cause, Kim truly loves working with children of all ages.
